TRAVEL and ACCOMODATIONS

If you are arriving by plane, there are two international airports in Paris: Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport and Orly (ORY). Charles de Gaulle is a larger airport and the one we are most familiar with, but we recommend flying into whichever airport is most convenient depending on your departure location.

If you are flying into CDG, we recommend the following to get to the city:

1. Taxi: You will be able to take a taxi from the airport to your location. They are metered but we recommend confirming that the driver accepts credit cards prior to the ride if you do not already have Euros. It is a 30-45 minute taxi.
2. Train: The RER "B" line will take you directly to the center of Paris, it takes 50 minutes. The stop closest to the venue is Châtelet Les Halles. 

If you are flying into ORY, we recommend the following to get to the city:

1. Taxi: We recommend taking a taxi from the airport to where you are staying within Paris. It is a 30 minute taxi.
2. Trains and busses from this airport require a transfer outside of the Paris city center. However, if you would like to take the train, you would take the ORLYVAL train towards Antony and then transfer to the RER "B" line. The stop closest to the venue is Châtelet Les Halles. 

When staying in Paris, you truly can't go wrong. If it is your first time visiting, staying in the 8th arrondissement (neighborhood) where there are many hotels will allow you to walk to many famous monuments, museums, and shops. Our venue is located nearby between the fashionable 7th and historic 6th, which is (in our opinion) one of the most beautiful areas of Paris!

There isn't a hotel that could accommodate our whole party, and hotel blocks in Paris are not possible, so we have provided a number of different recommendations at various price points. Please feel free to stay wherever you'd like!

Another suggestion is to book accommodations through Airbnb. These will generally provide more flexibility in terms of pricing, availability and location. Many are very modern and beautiful.

Accommodations in Paris in late summer and early fall book up very quickly. The weekend of our wedding, many hotels and Airbnbs are already fully booked. If you already have an idea of where you would like to stay, we recommend booking as soon as possible.
